Saturday November 27, 2010 , 5 min Read

YourStory.in team caught up with Kavita Jhunjhunwala, who is currently on a sabbatical from her “regular job” as Director of Marketing at a technology company. She is following a long standing dream and is creating an event platform that is focused on learning. With Click Asia Summit 2011, Kavita and her team could very well be creating a high-quality conference in the space of Digital Media and beyond.  We share some basic fundamental responses from Kavita on what has made Click Asia Summit 2011 a digital marketing learning conference worth looking forward to.

YourStory.in rep: Why did you choose the Digital Media sector?

KJ: That is a really simple one. I have been working in the technology for sales and marketing space for more than a decade now. From simple websites that added as online brochure for businesses a decade ago, to consulting on end-to-end implementation of marketing strategies, I have seen the changes that tech has made to marketing. In the last couple of years, digital/online marketing has given marketing a shot in the arm and created a level playing field for brands of all sizes. Fast paced execution; user-dependant content and world-class creativity makes digital media marketing very challenging. Throw in social media and mobile and you have dimensions that are mindboggling.

YourStory.in rep:  Click Asia Summit 2011 is designed to be an event focused around digital media. What is its USP?

KJ: Click Asia Summit 2011 is designed to be a “serious” event that focuses on learning. Content delivered at the two-day conference by International speakers followed by the workshops on Search Engine Optimization and Social Media Marketing is designed to deliver clear learning components for the delegates. We aim at covering advanced topics as well. Apart from that, the global approach in the format and well-know conference speakers makes Click Asia Summit 2011 stand out in a small but growing group of events around Digital Marketing.

Other than that, we hope to raise the bar in conferencing standards by bringing in innovations that would make the entire delegate experience worthwhile. Networking opportunities, Click Asia Expo and the content is where we hope to be different.

YourStory. In rep: Click Asia Summit 2011 also seems to have an impressive list of speakers and with Gurbaksh Chahal as a keynote speaker as well as SeoMOZ, Microsoft US, WPP Group representation to name a few. Why do you have such a specialized line up?

KJ: As mentioned, our focus is on content and thus the lineup /speakers are handpicked for the knowledge sharing experience at Click Asia Summit 2011. Gurbaksh’s excellent speaking capabilities brings an excellent concept to the conference as he is a role model for many digital media entrepreneurs and his life story is what dreams are made of. In fact, his book, The Dream has been received very well and G, as he more popularly known as is raring to go for his next venture. Such experiential wisdom, enthusiasm and the ability to motivate is rare and makes Click Asia Summit 2011 special in terms of quality.

YourStory.in rep : What can attendees at Click Asia Summit 2011 expect to gain from the conference?

KJ: Click Asia Summit 2011 is designed to be an immersive experience. Delegates would obviously be able to get answers to questions regarding their brands’ digital media strategy for the new year, understand new tools and possibilities and also get an unbiased training on social media tools and the ROI that they should expect. CAS 2011 will also be helpful is myth-busting and act as an eye-opener for many in terms of the genuine benefits of online marketing, mobile marketing and its nitty-gritties as well as figure out a social media strategy for themselves.

Delegates can also get the opportunity to network with the speakers and co-attendees and look at being part of a growing eco-system where sharing of information will continue even after the conference winds up.

YourStory.in rep: Who will benefit from attending Click Asia Summit 2011?

KJ: CAS 2011 is a CXO-level event and I think there is something for all marketing people, brand owners,  agencies as well as business owners who are keen to use the digital media as an integral part of their marketing campaigns. Click Asia Summit 2011’s agenda is designed to move from newbie to advanced topics in a way that attendees will understand.

YourStory.in rep: The online community is already talking about Click Asia Summit 2011 extensively. How do you feel about it?

KJ: I think the timing is right and Click Asia Summit’s agnostic approach is bound to make it a conference worth every penny you spend on it!

YourStory.in rep: Are the registrations for the event online?

KJ: You can register online at www.clickasiasummit.com or contact [email protected] for offline registration. There is an early-bird offer on till December so you should look at being part of the conference soon.

YourStory.in wishes Kavita Jhunjhunwala success and fame with her dreams of establishing an international quality event platform focused on learning. Click Asia Summit 2011 will undoubtedly prove to be an important date in the Indian entrepreneurs’ calendar and we encourage everyone to make a bee line for the registrations lest they miss out. [email protected]
