Day 1: Mumbai – CII Yi Road2Ideas event kick-started with the flag-off at Azad Maidan. Participants from across Indian begun their expedition and were all ready to embrace the challenges that will come their way to win the final crown. On Day 1, they met entrepreneurs from A Little World and Nano Ganesh which played a crucial role in triggering the development of their thoughts.

Innovator 1: A little world

A little World is the developer of ZERO, India’s first domestic payment system with a specific focus on reaching out to masses with lowest available communication infrastructure. ZERO is a popular end-to-end technology driven platform for branchless banking, with plug and play access for banks to rollout their services and, hence increase their outreach. ZERO is based on new generation technologies like Near Field Communication (NFC), RFID and Biometric Authentication. The ZERO platform enables timely disbursements of cash benefits to the underprivileged, under various government schemes such as housing assistance, employee guarantee disbursements, pensions, scholarships etc. right inside the village. This ensures the benefits reach the right person every time reducing the time lag between eligibility and disbursal.

The vision of A Little World is to touch a billion people through innovative technologies and alliances at the bottom of the pyramid for delivering multiple financial services at the lowest cost.

Innovator 2: Nano Ganesh

Nano Ganesh is a revolutionary electronic device manufactured by Ossian Agro Automation, a company working in the field of rural automation, since last 15 years. Nano Ganesh is a GSM Mobile based remote control system exclusively for used with water pump sets in agriculture areas. The need for Nano Ganesh arose from the routine problems faced by the farmers in operating the pumps. They are, fluctuations in power supply, difficult terrain, fear of animals on the way to pumps, hazardous locations of the pumps along the river or water storage beds, shock hazards, rains etc.
