Yourstory spoke to Ranvijay to find out what Sicobe stands for and also, the means by which he intends to corner the market on business solutions.

How would you describe what Sicobe does?

Sicobe is one of the fastest growing total business solutions providers in India. It’s totally dedicated to serve entrepreneurs and business organizations rendering various business solutions under a single roof.

How is Sicobe different from other business consultants?

Business is an ongoing process and needs lots of resource to execute the business plans. Being a solutions providing company, we understand the current requirements of our clients and analyze what’s going to be the next requisite. Based on these analytics, we provide them customized solutions so that they don’t have to look for different kind of vendors or services providers for their upcoming needs.

Today everyone prefers to shop at a shopping mall rather than visiting a remote retail or departmental store. That’s what we are - a place to outsource business worries. That makes us different from other business consultants offering particular business services and leaving the rest to next.

How did you conceive the business idea for Sicobe?

E-commerce sites and shopping malls compelled us to think about Sicobe. There are numerous of e-commerce sites and shopping malls offering different products and services for individuals & families. Then why should there not be a place serving business organizations?

For example, Google is an information finder. YouTube’s always considered as the video bank. So, why can’t Sicobe be termed as a dedicated business solution provider?  The business idea is to create a place where people can get access to the best consultation for their start ups, legal advice in their business registration, backend support in their financial fact sheet presentation (auditing & accounting), cost effective & efficient marketing tools (online & offline).

Tell us about your educational and professional background.

I am a commerce graduate from Delhi University. After college, I joined a consulting firm Singh & Associates in Delhi and worked there as a business & financial consultant for more than 4 years. While working there, I found that we were only restricted to provide business & financial consultation while clients demanded more than that.

I quit the job and started Sicobe at the end of December 2010 with a vision to provide each and every business solution that a client might be looking for. Later on, Preeti Gupta, a management graduate joined me as a COO in January 2011.

What has the reception toyour concept been like?

So far as acceptance of our concept isconcerned, we have got overwhelming response from our clients. We have more than 75 regular clients availing our step-by-step business solutions. Currently, we receive at least 5 company registration queries in a single day. That’s really great for a newly established company that’s merely three months old.

Now once the business registration gets completed, we offer them auditing &accounting services, domain registration & hosting services, web designing & development services, printing of business & promotional materials, listing on a business directory like Indiamart, Justdial & Sulekha to promote their business instantly on the web.

Where do you see business consulting five years from now?

As mentioned earlier, business is an ongoing process and business consulting is an integral part of that. The growth rate in establishment of industries and corporate entities for over 5 years explicitly reveals the upcoming boom in business sector and where there is business, it needs consulting services.

What is Sicobe's revenue model?

Sicobe’s revenue model depends on services offered and availed. Being a total business solutions providing company, we offer our services one by one based on clients’ satisfaction level. Our most availed services are business or company registration and auditing & accounting services.

How big is the Sicobe team? Tell us about team composition.

Sicobe started with only 12 members including me and Preeti. But now, within three months, we have got more than 75 process associates representing Sicobe in major parts of the country. Most of the workforce belongs to marketing. Apart from that, we have separate teams of experts. We have an expert panel of certified Chartered Accountants looking into auditing & accounting services, professionalweb designers and search engine optimization experts to promote a business online.

What are your plans for expansion?

Sicobe has recently started its recruitment process on behalf of its clients through a job portal vitaeers.com, which is owned & managed by Sicobe. We also have a business directory. We are looking at making it the largest B2B portal in India, providing a platform for business groups to list their businesses at a cost that’s much cheaper than what they are paying currently.
