NAVTEQ, one of the world’s leading providers of maps, traffic, and digital location content enabling navigation, is holding its first Developer Day in India. Developer Days are events designed to enable learning as to how to use NAVTEQ map data and partner APIs, and quickly apply skills towards creating the most compelling location based mobile apps in this emerging space, directly from the experts.
The Bengaluru edition of this day-long event is scheduled to happen tomorrow (Tuesday, 26th April 2011) at the Le Meridien Bangalore and the New Delhi edition will take place this Friday, 29th April 2011 at The Westin Gurgaon.
Participants will be introduced to the size of the Indian and global opportunity for location-based applications, be shown how NAVTEQ data can help in differentiating applications, and find out how the NAVTEQ Network for Developers (NN4D) can assist in every step of the way, from building the app straight through to business development and marketing.
The technical portions of the day will focus on APIs and SDKs that enable both mainstream location-based apps and services, and next-generation technologies for location-based 3D apps and games.
