MyCityWay, a New York based mobile media company, today officially announced its arrival in India and launched the Indian version of their highly successful smart-phone (iPhone, Android, Blackberry) application. The initial release covers four major Indian metros (Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru) and is the first step towards reaching the goal of extending to 11 major Indian cities by August 2011. The company said that the Indian version of the app has already reached the top of the iTunes apps chart just a few days after the trail-release. This is another statement of intent from the ambitious New York based startup as they bid to gain a foothold in India; the 2nd fastest-growing mobile market in the world.
