A search, so easy. Courtesy - Do@

Friday June 17, 2011 , 2 min Read

When was the last time you got precise information from your phone with a search on the web? Imagine how easy it would be, if you can get required information from the web instantaneously on the move! Do@, a mobile search based startup is trying to give a new dimension to the way we search things.

Do@

If a user has to find the nearest coffee shop or a movie theatre, he/she has to go through a couple of websites or install a group of apps to get the right information. This complexity can be minimized by Do@’s app for mobile search.

How does it work:

At first, a user can type in a keyword for search(a subject/topic/movie/music/food/product etc.).This allows the app to categorize the search based on the keyword supplied. For example, if you type “Beatles” in the app, it would revert with “Beatles@music” as a query, which makes the search precise to the content related to music from Beatles. Interestingly, the app also offers reference links from Wikipedia.

Once a query is typed in, Do@ gives you the best of the relevant information across the web and also through the apps present on the phone. You can just switch from one app to another till you get the datum that has been queried. A “Beatles@music” query shows you all the possible results from YouTube, iTunes, Pandora, Last.fm and so on. You can listen to the music online or download them at your will based on your requirement.
