Facebook has announced that it would be releasing an “awesome” new product next week. If you’re guessing, here is a sneak peek of it.Facebook, in association with Skype, is planning to launch a video chat option for millions of its users. This feature would be working right in the browser.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the proposed new product release last week. This product has been made by Facebook’s Seattle team. The product might get launched on July 6th 2011.
This partnership might increase the number of Skype users which currently stands at 170 million. This would eventually increase the time people spend on Facebook as they would indulge in voice and video chats. With 750 million active users, Facebook will make them stay glued.A report says that the product has been made on Skype and will carry a desktop component. It has not been made clear whether the user has to install any other software even if he/she has Skype on their PC.
Facebook is on a roll to increase the traffic and thereby stay intact with all its users. Facebook Credit which was launched in India is one such move to attain supremacy over the social networking arena.
