Beta invites are now available

With presence across more than 60 cities internationally, MyCityWay has been one of the pioneers in location based mobility services sector. As a logical next step, MyCityWay is coming up with Clingle in September. Clingle is an all-out geo-social smartphone app that allows users to connect with people and places around them. Clingle can be seen as a platform where people can connect, interact and play with friends. Location is an intrinsic part that binds all the other features of Clingle together. Clingle leverages MyCityWay’s expertise in developing mobility apps for Urban dwellers. The app is currently under development and would be released globally in fall 2011.

Jubin Mehta for YourStory.in caught up with Vignesh Rengasamy, Vice President of MyCityWay ,to know about their operations and expansion plans in India, “In markets like India, where the location based mobility services sector is booming, we see a huge potential for both consumers and businesses alike, to benefit from the possibilities that LBS space has to offer. We are already working on strategic partnerships with major brands and business houses in India. Also, we are building a Clingle web component that will make it easier for local businesses to become a part of the platform and engage with their customers.”

The app will initially be released for iOS devices and will later be made available on all major platforms including Android, Blackberry and Symbian. Clingle as a platform allows major business houses, brands and local businesses to participate and benefit from the geosocial abilities of the app, which would help them track, reward and engage with their customers. Though Clingle would be launched globally, Vignesh added that they are looking at India as their strategic market. You can sign up to receive beta access to Clingle app here http://clingle.com
