If there is one activity that sends all of us at YourStory into a tizzy, it is preparing for TechSparks. With four roundtables behind us, today the Grand Finale at IIM-B Bangalore is an exciting day to look forward for technology enterprise (the enterprising entrepreneur) and the ecosystem that makes possible the emergence, survival and growth of these companies. As a young startup last year, we took our leap of faith into the little known product tech space and kept up our promise. Five TechSparks were spotted and fifteen pitches were made. The investors, entrepreneurs and the media had gushed in their praise and we were overwhelmed. Product tech suffered from some kind of attention deficit disorder, which persists to an extent today, only with niche organizations like NASSCOM and some groups actively pursuing the product technology companies and the mainstream media not getting so excited.
But this year, the field of view has just got wider. The technology space itself is set to undergo fundamental transformation, with Cloud computing challenging the existing business models and scripting a new horizon in the way technology would be adopted and delivered. The deals are getting bigger and with e-commerce promising growth and scale of unimagined proportions, and is emerging as a hot destination for investor money.
Today, we are again dipping into the emerging technology space to spot the Emerging Stars in the second edition of TechSparks. Premonition is not only the domain of astrology but with astute evaluators in investors, technology specialists and followers of this space with analytical mind, we can reasonably pick up trends and declare the potential that exists. Then it depends upon the execution capabilities of the organization to realize the potential.
Tune in today to listen to awesome keynotes, panel discussion, Tech30 Report, the much-awaited 20 pitches from the select entrepreneurs who promise to script history, the App4India winner and the 10 exciting apps to watch for, and the Grand Finale to spot the five TechSparks.
For those of you away, #tsparks on Twitter would help to keep an update. For those of you at the venue, come and experience the power of startups and technology combination at its vibrant best.
