MDI building Entrepreneurs, not creating entrepreneurs

MDI

Delphique, the National Management Convention along with SEED MDI Gurgaon’s Business Incubator is launching a unique International Business Coaching Program, 'Vincenza'. Vincenza is India's first business coaching program, with a business plan competition as a prelude. The contest provides a unique opportunity to students to be creative, propose new business avenues but to have a chance to get mentored and enhance their business plans by top practitioners.

Vincenza aims to provide coaching at various levels, personalized and broad, for every participant in the competition and to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among the startups of India. Every participant will be entitled to three free webinars where the missing ingredients in his/her Business Plan will be detailed and explained. From legal and financial consultancy services, intensive mentoring and query solution platforms to providing various incentives, Vincenza will attempt to showcase an entrepreneur’s journey from the concept stage to an actual start-up.

The registration started from 27th September 2011. The contest will be held in November from 18th – 20th. The registered teams will be from all over the world presenting executive summary of their business plans. Only the top 50 participants will get the opportunity to go through the one on one mentoring program. The program will be conducted one month prior to the competition by the leading practitioners to refine their business plans for the final round. Top ten participants will get to pitch to top investors like Sanjeev Aggarwal of Helion Ventures, Sanjeev Bikhchandani of InfoEdge, and Puneet Vatsayan of The Hatch.

Prof. Rohit Prasad, Chairperson, Centre for Entrepreneurship, said, “Vincenza is a unique platform for participation, networking, discussions and most primarily grooming of the entrepreneurs. Our high mentoring and judging standards provide all entries with fair feedback and help them refine their business plans. Vincenza would help making the raw plans into final products.”

This is not the end! After the finals are over and the cheers have died down...the best is yet to come. Top 50 participants will get a year long program of incubation, virtual or physical, at partner incubators including SEED, the MDI Incubator and The Hatch. The virtual incubation will involve access to mentors, markets, investors, and logistics support.
