Delhi based Acube Technologies LLP, Redefining Web Solutions

One fine day, Anand Meena was approached to make some changes in the college website. He made the required changes and suggested a complete redesigning of the website. Whilst taking the responsibility of totally revamping of the website, he also taught a few other students the art of web designing and development. Anand and his friends began to enjoy their work and gave it a serious thought. Thus was born AcubeSolutions!In conversation with Anand Meena, YourStory finds more about this Delhi based venture that was started in the year 2009 by second year college students!

Please introduce Acube to our readers. 

Acube Technologies LLP is all about redefining web solutions. We deal in website design and development, graphic designing, SEO, Internet Marketing and branding. The team consists of people from the Computer and IT fields, creative minds dedicated to deliver the best services in the promised time. They are a mix of both the experienced ones and budding learners.

From campus to commercial, how did you materialize this dream? 

Our enthusiasm was unbound, as we started getting requests to design college fest websites. We charged for a few and sponsored a few. The joy we got each time the websites were launched was great.

As the word spread, we started getting offers from corporate for website designing. It was always a proud moment for the team when the work got appreciated.

The fact that Acube Technologies was getting projects without any marketing or publicity was what guided the team to decide to pursue it as our career. What better to have as a profession than something you started and you love?

We started with basic website designing and management, domain and web hosting. Today, we develop the best of websites, graphic designs, posters and all kind of print media. Today, the team has grown and has really big plans for the future. Also, the company, which was so far a proprietorship firm will be undergoing a change in name after registration: we will now be Acube Technologies LLP.

Tell us about your team. How big is it? Are you looking at hiring?

The team started with students, the founders themselves being students of Delhi College of Engineering (now Delhi TechnologicalUniversity.) They were pursuing BE in Computer Science. The team grew with more talented students joining in. The work was steady and we never took more projects than what we can handle.

Today the team has experienced web developers, graphic designers, search engine optimizers and more. Each person is dedicated towards one specific work. The best thing about the team is that they are in love with the work and thus it gets easier to work creatively on each project. The work is not seen as a burden or just as a source of income.Yes, we are looking to hire people for marketing and sales division. Also, as we looking to expand, we require more web developers to join us!

What are your market differentiators? Who are your ace competitors?

The biggest challenge we face every day is the huge number of web designers who put up posters of “3000 me website banwaiye” behind auto rickshaws! These are nameless, faceless, but a huge number of competitors. When a client questions on how we can charge ten times their cost and we answer that for us quality matters, often we are ridiculed.

What is it that makes a brand like Band Aid so special? Each time you get hurt, you will run to get a band aid. But what happens each time you think of getting a website done? Does any particular name ever come to your head? NO! That is where and how we wish to reach out to people. We wish to make our products and services so different and our clients so happy that they will always think of us when they have online solutions on their mind.

Our efficiency, completion of work on time is what sets us apart and most importantly, the trust!

What is the size of the market that you are in and what is the size of the market that you are trying to capture? 

Each day a million website domains are being bought and at least half that number websites being launched. The market is huge. The internet boom is still alive. This is the time to actually enter the market fully equipped.

Earlier it was very difficult and costly to set up your own website, today that is not so. Acube Technologies has a huge potential. InDelhi alone if a company gets all the web development projects, it can become a big business.

As we have not started promoting ourselves via advertisements or anything else and all our projects have come via recommendations and word of mouth, we know we have a huge potential.

Share your expansion plans with us. 

We wish to be the company every person will think of when ‘online solutions’ comes to their mind.

To begin with, we wish to promote in Delhi. We are targeting the startup ventures as our customer base. Their requirements and budget restrictions are well understood by us. Before we fully plunge into marketing in the corporate world, we wish to expand our team of developers.

Did you fundraise to startup? Are you looking at fundraising now?

By God’s grace, we have never had any monetary issues. Somehow projects kept coming in and no investment was required from our pockets. The money that came in each time was pumped into growing the company. Thankfully, for the nature of work we do, startup money required was very less.

In near future, we believe expansion will take place automatically as we grow our team and expertise. We have a few trusted investors to whom we can turn to in case of need.
