Want To Setup An E-commerce Site? BigRaja Can Help You Startup

Thursday December 08, 2011 , 3 min Read

BigRaja Ecommerce platform quick online shop setup

E-commerce in India has truly arrived now and the numbers are going up. India has 3,311 e-commerce hubs, according to a study by Web shopping firm eBay India for its 2011 census. The debate about the mind numbing numbers might rage on but to give a platform to the future e-shops, Adodis Technologies recently launched BigRaja to provide total e-commerce solutions.Adodis was co-founded by Dhanasekar Mani who started his career as trainee engineer in 2001 in Jataayu software in the mobile technology domain and subsequently moved to Samsung India in 2003. He went on to co-find Adodis Technologies in the mid-2007 and diversified its product range from there on. “BigRaja is a fully integrated eCommerce solution offering quickest (5 mins to set up), easiest (as easy as opening an email account)and cheapest( INR 299 per month fee, ALL inclusive) eCommerce websites to Indian entrepreneurs” describes Mani.

BigRaja was in beta up till recently but has received good reviews since launch. On the technology side, Mani is a bit reluctant about disclosing too much but he informs,” We have used heavily customized and optimized Open Source technologies while for hosting, we have used our in-house hosting solution.”

That being said, isn’t entering into any e-commerce related field like blowing air into the bubble? This time Sanjay, the product manager responds by saying “We believe that eCommerce is at its nascent stage in India and is poised for a humungous growth. We believe that eCommerce is on the verge of a tipping point with the infrastructure like broadband and 3g are becoming widespread. Our ideological approach withBigraja is to enable SME's & individual traders to get their fair share of online revenue through Bigraja e-Shop.” And to market BigRaja, they have set up a comprehensive marketing plan which includes offline and online marketing; staring with an initial target of reaching 60 towns in India in the first phase.

BigRaja is all set to tap this market but the problem they face as of now is to capture certain parts of the target demographic who are a bit cynical to technology after which they can penetrate easily. The BigRaja UI is very user friendly and puts up its points very succinctly. They are also allowing all the entrepreneurs to have a feel of the platform for 7 days in the form of a free trial.
