Pepsi to Launch Tech Startup Incubator Programme PepsiCo10 in India
This article is part of the series called Startup Hatch, about incubators and accelerators in the startup ecosystem.PepsiCo10 is a programme created by Pepsi to discover and support up to 10 emerging and innovative technology companies. The first edition was held in the US in 2010 while the 2011 edition invited European startups to take part in the incubator programme. For the 2012 edition, PepsiCo10 is expanding to the emerging markets of India and Brazil.
PepsiCo10 provides startups with access to Pepsi brands and gives them an opportunity to accelerate their business and share ideas and solutions with some of the top brand marketers and media consultants. They also provided the chosen companies in the 2011 edition, with access to major European media titles who may wish to maintain their relationships independent of their pilot programme with PepsiCo. Last year's programme had five subject categories - social media, mobile marketing, place based technology, digital video and gaming or learning platforms.
"We are looking for small media and technology companies who have developed innovative digital or social media technologies or products. We’ll evaluate proposals on the entrant’s ability to impact our brands and further our Performance with Purpose priorities: human sustainability, environmental sustainability and talent sustainability." PepsiCo10 says on their website about the kind of startups they are looking for.
