After working with various companies for over 15 years, Sameer Gupta, Founder & Director of SS ABLE Advisory found a huge gap between the companies providing financial services and investors. The distributors sold financial instruments more for their own benefit than the client’s best interests. There was a lack of unbiased and client centric customised financial solutions advisory services in the country. Financial advisory and Investment planning or Wealth Management, as it is broadly known, is mainly controlled by MNCs, Banks and Broking houses in India. There is no solution for the small investor who does not differentiate between investments and savings. The need to address this gap and to empower the Investor to be better informed and knowledgeable was the prime objective of starting SS ABLE Advisory.Based out of Bangalore, SS ABLE Advisory was incorporated in 2009. SS ABLE is an abbreviation of Shirdi Sai Association of Business, Leadership & Excellence. “At SS ABLE Advisory, our process is to analyse, design and implement strategies to help the client invest in the right investment options available in the country today, according as his risk appetite, budget and objective with time horizon. Our services include Risk Management, Cash Flow Analysis, Children Education& Marriage Planning, Retirement Planning, Audits & Tax Filing. We also assist in opening Demat & Online Trading Accounts,” says Sameer.
An MBA Finance graduate with 15 years of industry experience, Sameer started his career as an LIC agent in 1998. Thereafter, he worked for Max New York Life, ICICI Pru, ING Life, Kotak Life and finally joined his colleague at V4U Investwise Private Limited. Sandeep Kumar, an MBA-Finance Graduate from MSRIM, is also a part of the founding team. He manages direct sales along with MIS and Social Media Marketing. Their team of 5 comprises Chartered Accountants, Auditors, MBA Graduates & Certified Financial Planners.
SS ABLE follows a fee based model where the Client pays a fixed percentage of the investment as service charge. The charges vary between 1-2.5% depending on the investible amount.SS ABLE believes that referrals are the best way to build a brand. “The last three years of our brand awareness and business growth proves that point. Moreover, we have extensively used Online Social Media to create an impact well within a lean budget,” says Sameer.
Says Sameer about developing their competencies, “We have all learnt the hard way by investing and losing our own money. Our Client’s feedback has always enhanced our competency and most important of all, we have been accessible to our Client and humble enough to accept responsibility at times when we goofed up. Domain Knowledge, Skill Development and Market Updation are a part of our daily routine.”
SS ABLE’s future plans include expanding the core team to 13 members in this year and spreading across the country to achieve a pan-India presence within the next 7 years.
