CaratLane.com, pioneers of online jewellery retail in India, has put together an exquisite collection of Gold and Silver Rakhis. "Starting at Rs. 800/- CaratLane.com is also offering to ship these gold and silver Rakhis to anywhere in India, beautifully packed with a Rakhi Thaali that has roli, chawal, dori, dry flowers and a bandhani pouch – a small step towards making the whole Raksha Bandhan experience nostalgic and closer to home," reads the announcement.
On the other hand, Timtara has acted smartly and got something for the bhaiyas (brothers) in the house. "Exciting Gifts to enthrall your sisters on Raksha Bandhan at timtara.com" they announced.
From bags to jewelry; from wallet to hair dryers; from mobiles to toasters; from cameras to perfumes; and from iPods to watches, Timtara has a lot to offer. Not exactly a special offer but a nice way of packaging what one already has is a better way to put it.
All these festivities bring in a wave of enthusiasm for eCommerce companies but are we buying rakhis online? It is a good way to keep up the buzz but the Indian market definitely hasn't matured enough to generate volumes here.
