5th Edition of Yahoo! Open Hack India Announced

Monday July 09, 2012 , 2 min Read

The Yahoo! Developer Network has announced the 5th Open hack Event which will be held in Bangalore on August 11-12. Starting out in 2007, the event has grown and last year, there were around 4000 people interested in the event and 800 attended from around 20 different states.
Yahoo! will provide you with everything you need to have fun, be creative and productive, and impress your peers with what you can do with a computer and the wealth of technologies and data available on the Web. We will be fuelling your creativity with a variety of Yahoo! technologies and APIs, including YUI, YQL, Mojito, BOSS, Messenger, Flickr, and more. We will introduce you to lots of wonderful data sets that are ripe for mashup and visualization. We will keep you fed, watered and entertained for the duration of the event. All you need to bring is your creativity, your laptop, and your toothbrush.

The event will begin with a series of hack-related presentations from some of the Web’s most respected developers. This will be followed by 24 hours of hacking using a collection of web tools, services and APIs from the Yahoo! Developer Network, and other APIs and data. There will also be some advanced talks to really dive deep into our technologies. The event on the second day will end with the hack demos.

The event will be held on the weekend of the 11th-12th August at the Sheraton Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gate.
