Eximius 2012 is set to launch with the theme – ‘Failure Fuels Success’

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation cell (EnI) of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore is all set to host Eximius-2012, presented by Raymonds India. The summit brings to students various opportunities to showcase their ideas and business plans through competitions and workshops.

Students are also given the chance to present their ideas before venture capitalists.Last year the summit saw a footfall of over 3000 participants from colleges all over the country. The theme was ‘Unconventional Entrepreneurship’ which laid the basis for the flagship events of the summit - Ingen (Business plan competition), Reach (Social entrepreneurship case study) and Next Up (Business Valuation workshop). Some of the most respected entrepreneurs were speakers at the events such as Harish Hande (Founder, Selco India), Jithin Nedumala (Founder- Make a Difference), Sanjay Swamy (Founder- Zipdial), Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, N.S.Raghavan, Binny Bansal, Rashmi Bansal and many more.

This year, the running theme through the events will be ‘Failure Fuels Success’. The theme will also be the topic for a panel discussion between Gautam Sathia, Solomon Prakash, Vipul Parekh, Rajiv Jayaraman and Sunil Kumar Sarangi. The Keynote Address will be given by Harish Bijoor (Founder, Harish Bijoor Consults) and the Keynote speaker at the opening ceremony will be Ramji Raghavan (Agastya International Foundation). A panel discussion will also take place on women entrepreneurship between Vinita Ananth, Garima Satija, Kalpana Rao and Poonam Kasturi. Ingen (The business plan competition) will be judged by Nagaraja Prakasam, Samir Kumar and TripatPreet Singh, with Reach (The Social Entrepreneurship Case Study Competition) being judged by Prof P Sudarshan. However this year Eximius will not only play host to well-known entrepreneurs who have succeeded against all odds but also to a rock band whose members will share their experiences with failure on their way to success and recognition.
