In addition to saved templates allowing re-orders and seamless process, another great feature about Gingko is the customize tool on their website which allows customers make changes to the readied templates (text, background, logo, images, colour) while also allowing them to upload any ready to print file. “Plus if there’s a very specific requirement for large quantities then they can contact us and we can put support them through our in house design team,” adds Saurabh.
“Also, we have an integrated post press solutions which includes binding, cutting, foiling and laminating. Therefore, we take care of the entire process from the designing to printing and finally delivering it at the choice of destination with the help of our logistic system,” informs Saurabh.
The Gingko Team
Saurabh Mehta has always been an entrepreneur at heart. He holds an MBA degree from SDA Bocconi School in Management in Milan, Italy and an exchange program diploma at Duke University, USA.Having played a key role in a start-up GK Vale.com, where he helped its e-portal business grow from scratch to a revenue run rate of $20,000 a month. Saurabh has a thorough know-how of the e-commerce business in India and understands the needs of competitive small and medium scale enterprises.
Recognizing a large opportunity in the Printing Services Industry, an industry that has so far been fragmented and predominantly traditional in approach, Saurabh envisions making printing services a “Product” and offer it as a “Commodity”.
“We have a team of 15 people from different backgrounds and are very motivated to make this dream come true,” says Saurabh.
Revenue model and target audience
Gingko earns revenue by providing an end-to-end solution for the printing needs of individuals and business. In house services, superior technology, transparent processes and competitive prices make Gingko a viable alternative to unprofessional, opaque traditional printers.
Gingko targets product solutions for both SME’s as well as large corporate clients.

- For SME’s – Directly upload one’s design on Gingko’s B2C portal or choose from a large set of templates to order the desired product.
“We have just focused on the corporate side of the business so far and have been quite successful at it.”
It’s been quite a meteoric rise for the Bangalore based company, who, since formation in October 2011, have crossed the revenue mark of USD 150k. “I have a vision to make Gingko India’s largest Web2Print company within 3 years,” passionately adds Saurabh, and based on the evidence we’ve seen, we’re pretty sure Gingko has absolutely every chance of making it there.
