A ComScore report has thrown out some interesting numbers regarding the online trends globally. Worldwide, the online audience has grown by 7% and AsiaPac has seen the strongest growth adding around 40 million users.

Talking about the BRIC nations, India has seen the maximum growth of 41% between July 2011 and July 2012.

These numbers are optimistic but also pretty obvious owing to the abysmally low penetration levels earlier. The hopes on BRIC nations to conquer the world is high but recently all except China have seen a slump. Ruchir Sharma, the author of Breakout Nations has shed light on how this phenomenon of the BRIC nations is just a fad and bound to wither away as a marketing gimmick.
