Fishing for technical information about their browser is one of the toughest problems that customers face while tackling problems on their website. Customers get lost and impatient when the customer support personnel ask them a number of questions on technical specifications. Keeping these challenges of customers in mind, SupportBee has launched its new application – AboutMyBrowser which does exactly what the name reads. The app tells the user about their browser.

It is a one click process for the customer. Clicking on the link will give the customers all the required information about their

browser. The customers can then send this link to a customer care representative. The application provides browser name, OS type, OS name, Capture time, Javascript, Cookies, Flash and other technical specifications that will help in rectifying the problem. AboutMyBrowser works on mobile, desktop and tablets.Although an old idea in the market, this Indian startup has managed to grab enough eyeballs especially from users in the U.S. AboutMyBrowser has managed to get 47,000+ page views in just 24 hours. A good percentage of the traffic has been driven from mobile devices especially iPhone and iPad. One of the early adopters of this app include Coursera (U.S.A) that partners with universities across United States to organise and launch free courses.

SupportBee will soon be launching some APIs and tools for developers to embed AboutMyBrowser on their site to provide a zero click capture for their customers. The basic service is free, while white labeling will be at cost.
