Screen Magic is Innovating CRM; Working with Salesforce and ZOHO
A Pune based product startup, Screen Magic was founded in September 2008 by Nitin Seth with a vision to create, enrich and enable the communication media on Mobile Devices with the help of technology, knowledge and skills in Mobile Media Space. Nitin, an IIT-B alumnus is the CEO, Product Manager, Sales guy, and Analyst. He was the co-founder of Mobiance Technologies and has worked as Senior Business Analyst at Evalueserve. Gold Hassan, VP Marketing, Designer, Marketing Expert, Blogger. Gold was a Software engineer at Accenture India. Sandip More, CTO, Developer, Architect, Manager, Thinker. Sandip has worked for US Startups (in Talentica).
In early days, Screen Magic started with running Customer Loyalty Programs on Mobile (SMS based) for various outlets in Mumbai. They ran two way SMS campaign that comprised of polls, quizzes, premium content and other notifications. It basically gave them the understanding about consumer behavior, response marketing and mobile market. With their mobile media platform, brands engaged users on mobile by creating/changing campaigns on the go, leverage the power of personalized / one one‐one marketing by engaging users in a dialogue (similar to a conversation), archive and mine user data (from mobile campaigns & other sources) to know their customers. They are partners with some Co Operative Banks, providing them end to end SMS solution for their marketing and transactional needs.
“Screen Magic also worked as fore‐runner in Mobile VAS content marketing. We partnered with some of the Leading Operators like MTNL Mumbai, LOOP mobile etc, providing them state of art Local Language SMS delivery platform,” adds Gold.
With time, Screen Magic shifted its focus on Cloud Computing. They are currently partners with Salesforce.com and Zoho.com. SMS Magic, a plug and play application on Salesforce.com, provides the capability to send/receive SMS notifications on CRM. “Our application integrates seamlessly with all the features of Salesforce environment. Right from the objects and records, to the advanced automated environment of workflows, triggers & schedules. Special Care has been taken in UI/UX design of the app; the motto was ‘The Intuition of the users must be served,” adds Sandip. With over 350+ regular paying clients, SMS Magic is one of the most sought after SMS app on Appexchange.com.
Hiring great talent, managing and procuring resources, marketing & advertising, and engaging western audience are some of the key challenges that they’re facing.
Some of their achievements include:
- Creating the first Local language SMS service (Hindi and Marathi) in India for Mass usage with MTNL.
- Crossing 350 Regular paying Client Count
- Getting 5-star rating on appexchange.com
- Getting featured in Grass Root Soccer News (An NGO based out of South Africa, use SMS Magic to spread knowledge on HIV)
- Crossed 6 million transactions this April.
