Startup Village Unveils Another Startup, Exam Voice- Where a Student can Teach a Student

The idea that was conceptualized in a hostel room of Government Model College of Engineering, Kerala and given shape over a year- four months of which was at Startup Village, has finally been unveiled. Registered as Verbicio Tech LLP, their first product is Exam Voice. Officially launched by Mr. Hibi Eden, MLA Ernakulam, Exam Voice is a free online tutorial site for the students belonging to all the educational streams. Midhun Sankar is the CEO and Bibin George Varghese is the COO of this 5 member core team at Verbicio. Having hired 4 more employees, the team strength is at 9 currently.

What is Exam Voice?

Examvoice helps students select their subject of interest and find the apt answer corresponding to a particular exam rather than just a generic solution.The students can post answers to questions they feel is important in any language they desire. Similarily these answers can be viewed by students by using the search tab and at the same time be rated as most popular. Students can approach a topic in an exam oriented manner and find answers they want aided by PPTs.

As a company, they strive to bring in a new, unique and refreshing change to advertising in Kerala. Having been incubated at the startup village, the company has been mentored and give shape to launch with the right frame.

The product has a very clean look to it and a good first impression post which one is drawn into trying out what it is. A user can upload only PPTs as of now and the idea would make more sense once a student is incentivised to give better answers (plans for which are in the pipeline). Better answers will bubble up to the top based on the 'likes' it generates.

Also, currently, only the basic subjects are listed in the categories but one would like to see more subjects which are not easily accessible for an Indian student. For instance, Sociology.

Having been in the startup village, early testing hasn't been a problem and one already sees a decent amount of traction on the site. Here is a snap of the kind of questions uploaded in the Computer Science section:
