We took a tour of the Microsoft Accelerator where we met with startup HireRabbit founded by Prafull Sharma. In an announcement today, HireRabbit has launched its social recruiting platform. HireRabbit helps businesses build custom job sites and culture portals on Facebook. In private beta from June 2012, the product is out in the open now. Prafull says: “Building a page on Facebook is a great way for a company to engage with its prospective candidates, as it provides a great opportunity to showcase the company’s culture. However, most recruiters don’t have programming or web-development skills, and hence creating a professional employer presence becomes difficult for them. HireRabbit, which provides a robust, all-in-one Facebook recruiting software to its customers, helps solve this problem.”
Hiring has certainly been a grappling problem with companies and this has led to a burst of startups in the area. Moving away from the likes of Naukri and Monster, newer players are trying to make a mark with innovative new ideas. Elaborating further on the product, Prafull mentions: “Our tools, offered on a software-as-a-service model, allows employers to build a branded, beautiful career site on Facebook within minutes, without having to write a single line of code. Companies can also use rich interactive media like videos and photos for better engagement with their audience. HireRabbit also enables companies to easily tap into the referral potential of Facebook and Twitter through its push-button approach to job distribution across social networks and multiple job boards seamlessly. Automatically generated social sharing elements on job postings also helps to spread word-of-mouth referrals. Simultaneously, job seekers can benefit by searching and applying for job openings directly from inside a potential employer’s company Facebook page."
"Job description pages serve as perfect landing pages for Facebook ads, which can be utilized by companies to attract, engage and hire passive candidates from Facebook. This not only helps boost the referral recruitment and automates social recruiting activities, the tools also help to pull up metrics that measure the efficiency of the program," he adds.
