‘Startup’ Investment Bank, AGacquisitions Forays into Alternate Investing by Launching a Hedge Fund Platform

Tuesday November 27, 2012 , 2 min Read

AGacquisitions is a middle market investment bank and asset manager that was started by brothers Kanishk and Harsh Agarwal. (read complete story here) In a recent development, AGacquisitions plans to increase presence in the alternate investment business with the launch of Index Advantage – II, a hedge fund platform.

AGacquisitions Markets, a subsidiary of AGacquisitions India and TechTrend Analyser, a provider of technical products and solutions for alternate investing have merged to jointly tap the growing market for alternate investments. Till now, the two companies have been working together over the years where the first product, Index Advantage - I (IA-I) has delivered annualized returns of over 60%. IA-I is focused extensively on the S&P Nifty Index and used a proprietary platform to deliver the returns.

Talking about the IA-I, Kanishk says, “The platform has been able to provide above average returns across trending bull and bear market conditions and nominal returns during market consolidation. This stems from the ability to take multi-directional positions on the S&P Nifty Index using the futures derivative.” Mr. Mehul Daga, Founder of TechTrend Analyser will now take the responsibility at AGacquisitions as the Director - Technical. Mehul says, “AGacquisitions Global reach and TechTrends expertise will open a new dimension of unique investment methodology to global investors, family offices and hedge funds.”
