Mobile Harvest is a literacy neutral platform to create and share stories like an oral wikipedia for India's emerging billion. Mobile Harvest is a two way, cost efficient and literacy neutral community networking platform allowing members to create, access and promote stories, which would be of interest to their community.
As a platform, Mobile Harvest enables organizations to interact with and understand their communities better. Organizations can also get access to experts, who are key influencers at the ground level, and look to leverage these experts to spread their message. Founded by the trio of Sachin Gaur, Prashanth Pattabiraman and Jayvardhan Jaju, Mobile Harvest has taken shape after years of research.
The team has conducted a pilot in Andhra Pradesh for which they undertook a road trip of over 2,000 kilometres within rural Andhra Pradesh and met various stakeholders including farmers, rural entrepreneurs, bureaucrats implementing various government schemes and NGO workers.
