Social audience discovery and retargeting platform Tookitaki launches at iAccelerator's Demo Day

Tookitaki (Bengali word meaning hide and seek) is a social audience discovery and retargeting platform. Graduating from the iAccelerator program (at CIIE, IIM-A) today, Tookitaki has officially launched. During this 3 month stint at iAccelerator, Tookitaki has also raised a seed round from Srijan Capital, Aakrit Vaish, Miten Sampat, Anuj Pulstya and Maneesh Bhandari.

In simple terms, Tookitaki does semantic search on social media for any product and finds out people who are interested in it. Post discovery, Tookitaki helps enterprises connect with their identified prospects through web and social retargeting. For the regular user it might come across as scary, the extent to which someone can know about a personality but it is a dream for the seller.

The founding team consists of Abhishek Chatterjee and Jeeta Bandopadhyay. Abhishek, the CEO is a B.E. in Computer Engineering from University of Pune post which he pursued MS in Computational Biology (Applied Mathematics) from University of Southern California. He lived the corporate life for 5 years with with Double Click (Google) and JP Morgan New York. And Jeeta, an MA in English and PGD in Integrated Marketing & Communications from St. Xavier's College Kolkata, is the COO and looks after operations, client communications and marketing.

Talking about the accelerator program, Abhishek says, “The platform has helped shape our product better, in customer acquisition and in raising seed funding.” With a goal to become the most powerful, open and customizable advertising technology platform, Tookitaki is in a really hot space with every business looking at leveraging social media for marketing. “To achieve this goal, we want to build partnerships with domestic as well as global ad exchanges and networks,” adds Abhishek.
