Careesma.in is a career website targetting both job seekers and employers in India. It is a part of Careesma.com, a company specialized in the development of job sites across Europe where they have over 12 years of experience in the e-Recruitment sector. Careesma’s interactive tool simplifies the hiring process in India. Sudhanshu shares, “Our cutting-edge, proven and interactive application tool forms the basis of a professional, easy and transparent process for the recruiters and candidates. Careesma is much more than online job classifieds portal.”

Within a year and half of starting up, Careesma.in has become India’s second largest job portal in terms of volume of jobs. The portal currently has over 70,000 real and active jobs from more than 15,000 active employers, which effectively includes some of the leading companies like Accenture, Tata, Reliance, Tech Mahindra, Allianz, HCL, Bosch and ING.

What’s different with Careesma.in?

India already possesses a whole number of different job portals and a new trend social recruiting has also hit the country. Many startups have built platforms to get applications through social media such as SwitchIdea and HireRabbit. So, what is really different with Careesma.in ? In our conversation, Sudhanshu mentions: “Yes, there are very well entrenched players in the market. However we still feel there are clear opportunities to make a difference to recruiters and candidates in several ways and it is possible to build a profitable business by solving some of the problems that still exist. We have already brought to India several new offerings hitherto not seen in the Indian job market.”

Careesma’s strength according to Sudhanshu, lies in its strong technology backbone, the company uses unique algorithms to ensure that only the most relevant, active, genuine and non-repetitive listings are visible on the portal, thus saving time and effort for both recruiters and aspirants. Careesma is also the only job portal in the country that enables applicants to track in real time the status of their applications. From an applicant’s view point this might prove a huge boost to their search for job openings. In addition to this, Careesma also allows its users to log in using their Linkedin and Facebook accounts, facilitating social sharing of employment related information. The applicants also get timely notifications for new job openings aligning with their profile. The portal also validates all companies on board and continually reviews applications. In fact this is one of the requirement for the recruiters, in order to continue using their services.

As in the case of recruiters, Careesma has something new for them as well. The web portal offers a free trial service to companies in order to experience the value they can deliver -- a need that many online recruitment portal still do not cater to. By taking regular feedback from the clients for the services on offer, Careesma has also made efforts to remove duplicate resumes and multiple job postings on their platform.

As director and Country Manager at Careesma.in, Sudhanshu is responsible for driving business strategy and planning in the Indian market. He has spent over seven years in the in the online recruitment industry and has in the past held key positions with organizations like NDTV Group, Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd and Living Media India Ltd. Careesma.in has its office in New Delhi with a team size of 50 people. He understands the challenge they face to create a difference in the online recruitment market that have well-entrenched names, but Sudhanshu is confident of making a difference. At present Careesma.in is solely concentrating to engage recruiters and aspirants experience their product.
