How often do we hear children studying in 12th standard talking about starting a venture instead of dreaming for a hefty paying job. Well, today I interacted with one such person or rather student who happens to be on the same wavelength of all the crazy entrepreneurs. Vedant Jagirdar believes that creating a company is his true calling and he has already started on the same with online portal Mobile Doctors, further he has some plans to open mobile service soon.
Mobiledoctors is web portal based on Technology which focuses on providing latest news, launches, live blogs, reviews, how-to's and everything related to tech and gadget world. Vedant started working on the idea of this web portal in August 2012. He shares “I used to get a lot of queries regarding purchases related to mobile and other tech stuffs from friends and relatives.” All these events made him think over this idea like why not start a web portal that could address the same problem on a larger basis. And thus MobileDoctors was born in August 2012. To start with Vedant created a Facebook page which was later followed up with a full flexed website. Every element of the site was handled by Vedant itself from adding different HTML tags to CSS. He also mentions some really key elements relating to the site “I have made sure that our articles are not complicated and yet highlights all the important aspects of any concerned device. And I have also placed the ads at such a location that it doesn’t hampers the readability of our users”
Since inception MobileDoctors has done a neat work in addressing queries related to tech models. In our conversation Vedant mentions that on average their site gets an average of 70k visitors every month and for any local queries they tend to attend them through a telephonic conversations. He adds “every query that we get, we try to give them a best advice and offers”. Vedant highlights a very important point in the midst of the discussion that all the reviews which gets uploaded on the site are a result of a practical experience where they actually use a device. I believe this practise really drives their site and which also reflects in their performance as a web portal.Vedant is a first year student of Devgiri College Aurangabad. He also points out that his father has been very encouraging and supportive throughout his MobileDoctors journey. He has always motivated and and support him to try out something new.
Although he started the website alone but was soon joined upon by friends and a partner Ronit Chotlani, who is also studying Engineering in Sinhgad College.
As of today MobileDoctor has a team of six-seven members and tries to answer each and every question asked through facebook page, website, mail or by phone. If you have any queries relating to any hand-held devices you can rely upon MobileDoctors.
