Launched in January 2012 Purplle receives around 500 orders everyday, with average ticketsize of Rs 1100-1200. At present, the platform lists over 2,000 spa and salons, and it charges them a fixed advertising fee. “We get around 60% orders from top 8 cities including Mumbai, Delhi (NCR) Bangalore and the rest comes from Tier-ll and Tier-Ill cities,” added Taneja. The Mumbai-based company had raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Blume Ventures, Mumbai Angels and Chennai Angels. In future, Purplle plans to curate content for beauty and grooming, and roll out salon and spa listing to other metros. “We are also pondering to launch booking platform for salon and spa,” concluded Taneja.
