Emphasis on education, healthcare, in TiE Chennai - Akhila Rajeshwar
As the incoming Executive Director of TiE Chennai, what are the priorities of Akhila Rajeshwar? The first is TiECON, scheduled in November, she begins. TiE Chennai will be focusing more on mentoring, adds Akhila.Coming with a background in education and healthcare, she notes that TiE would be starting an education SIG (special interest group) very soon, and promoting the healthcare sector, too. “So, as always, TiE will be focusing on developing, fostering and mentoring entrepreneurs, budding entrepreneurs, in the fields of education and healthcare more.”
Prior experience
On the healthcare side, Akhila was earlier vice-president of a hospital group, and chief compliance/ coaching officer at a leading hospital. And, on the education front, her experience includes mentoring of students and corporate executives, and counselling for IAS and IPS aspirants. These apart, she was also chief operating officer in a BPO operation, has done human resources development consulting in performance management, and been a consultant in employability enhancement with government agencies and NGOs.
“Akhila's rich operations, people management and mentoring/ coaching experience will immensely help TiE Chennai to broaden and deepen our initiatives at a time when we are growing rapidly,” the outgoing executive director Srinivasan Viswanathan (Vishy) had noted, in a mailer to TiE members.
