Deshpande Foundation's DSCE is accepting applications for Master of Social Entrepreneurship
Deshpande Center for Social Entrepreneurship (DCSE) aims to nurture social entrepreneurial skills and thinking for young and creative minds. In efforts to do the same, they announced the admissions for Master of Social Entrepreneurship (MSE) 2014-16, affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad recently. It is a two-year residential program designed from a practitioner’s perspective and aims to a breeding ground for several start-ups. This will be the second batch for the program.
The two year program is packaged with 25 different courses that blend practical experience with personal mentorship through real entrepreneurs. Deshpande Centers have also been launched in some other universities throughout the US and Canada, with the objective to make learning relevant and responsive to real time challenges and to embark on an even more ambitious aim to help students not just learn about entrepreneurship but find the inspirations and tools of becoming entrepreneurs themselves.
MSE in DCSE also includes the possibility of getting incubated in DCSE’s Entrepreneur in Residence program, paid internships during the summer vacations, networking with over 100 for profit and non-profit organizations, who are all engaged with DCSE to solve social issues with a compassionate heart and an entrepreneurial mindset and renowned guest speakers from the non-profit and for profit sectors.
Eligibility : Graduates in any field who are looking to step into creating or managing a social enterprise. People who are passionate about social issues and posse an entrepreneurial acumen to venture into innovative yet sustainable initiatives.
