‘Nija Tech Guide’ becomes the first affiliate millionaire on the Konga.com marketplace platform
The population of over 160 million and growing internet penetration makes Nigeria a fertile ground for e-commerce market. Konga.com, Nigeria’s online retailer, launched in July 2012 is gradually becoming an online retailer platform that trades on virtually all products. Mr Paschal Okafor was recently hosted at a warm reception at the Konga HQ.
Nija Tech Guide is a website focused on technology news, reviews, specs and prices of gadgets. It serves as a guide for making the right purchase decisions in the technology market. The business model of Nija Tech Guide is to write a detailed review about the mobile phone and then post Affiliate links of Konga.com and competitor Jumia.com. Usually these gadgets are cheaper on Konga so people buy them there. According to external sources, Nija Tech Guide blog sends more traffic to Juman than Konga. But the ones who go to Konga are usually those who buy.

As we have noted, Konga’s affiliates are around 2,500 who are earning money by sending traffic to Konga. Since Konga tracks the URL where visitors come from affiliates will be paid based on conversion.
