TEDxGatewayWomen2015 comes to Mumbai on May 29th

As human beings, we were made to move. Designed to be in a continuous state of motion, our minds and bodies are defined by ideas that create momentum in how we live, think, and work.
Exploring the theme that every change begins with momentum is the first-ever edition of TEDxGatewayWomen2015 being organized on May 29th, in Mumbai. Taking the cue from the global TEDWomen2015 program on May 27-29, in Montery, CA, TEDxGatewayWomen2015 will put the spotlight on the power of women as ambassadors of change, from small, local solutions to big, global movements.

Guided by the renowned global TED format, the event will bring together an impressive line up of women speakers on one platform for talks ranging from 12-14 minutes each. From the Canadian artist who will take the audience on a journey of past, present and future and the dancer whose moves cured her cancer, to the farmer seeking to empower low-income groups through economic activity, and the publisher who will talk about how one idea that comes out of curiosity can brighten up the world for many, the day-long conference will focus on the unique way in which women contribute to global change and thus help reshape the future.
Some of the speakers include Reemaben Nanavaty a Padma Shri awardee who will be sharing her stories of work, on empowering two million women to overcome poverty calling it ‘Doosri Azadi’. Deepika Bharadwaj is another speaker who will discuss on the true sense of equality and Aditi Gupta of the Menstrupedia fame.
