SP Balasubramanyam-backed online booking platform for artists launched
Hyderabad-based Yuktha Entertainment Services has announced the launch of JilMore, an online booking platform for performing artists with the backing of eminent playback singer S P Balasubramanyam, who has become its mentor and an equity holder. The startup, which already has a seed money of Rs 50 lakh, plans to raise USD 1 million in series A funding by March, JilMore Founder and CEO, Saradhi Babu Rasala, told a press conference in Hyderabad.
People looking for entertainment services for any corporate event, personal and family parties like birthday can find their choice of singers, anchors, emcees, celebrities, artists, musicians and magicians, among others on JilMore. Balasubramanyam said "He had seen a lot of talented singers and looking at them, he had only one question, how can I help their talent to flourish?"
"I am sure this startup will help all (people who need platform to showcase their talent and who are looking for performers," said Balasubramanyam, who is also brand ambassador of JilMore. Rasala said the JilMore app can be downloaded from Google Play Store at free of cost.
"Customers can browse, see artist profiles, and invite to perform in their event on a particular date, place and time. Once the invitation is accepted by artist, customer can pay online and book immediately", he said. The startup has launched the venture in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and, depending on the response, plans to expand to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.
