“He was born with a sense of rhythm,” Truptraj’s father Atul Pandya told The Times of India. Listening to his grandmother sing devotional songs, Truptraj would sit beside her and play aluminium dabbas as an instrument. Truptraj’s natural attraction to percussion instruments led him to become the youngest Tabla Master in the world. His repertoire is mainly folk and devotional music, Atul often provides vocal accompaniment to his son’s performances.
