When book-lovers celebrated Diwali by making rangolis of their favourite books
This Diwali, book-lovers from across the country were united by the spirit of the festival, as they came together in a unique initiative — making rangolis of books they love! Celebrating the festival of lights with the greatest source of wisdom, these book-lovers had a Diwali they will cherish for years to come.
In the popular Facebook community of book-lovers, 'Book Deals for Broke Bibliophiles - India', an announcement was made on Saturday morning, inviting book-lovers to draw a book cover, or anything bookish, with rangoli and post its picture in the comments section. Amazon vouchers for five rangolis selected randomly were also announced.
In a few hours' time, the spirit of Diwali took over, as bibliophiles took a break from devouring their next book, and started participating in the unique initiative. From JK Rowling to Murakami, from Kafka to Cervantes, authors from across the globe were celebrated in colours.
We bring to you some of the Rangolis we loved and hope you love them too.
