PhotoSparks is a weekly feature from YourStory, with photographs that celebrate the spirit of creativity and innovation. In this photo essay, we feature the creative exhibits and infectious energy at the Makers Pavilion of InnoFest 2016 in Bengaluru.
In the earlier 95 posts, we brought you a wide range of creative photographs from an art fair, world music festival, painting fair, telecom expo, art museum, mobile showcase, math museum, social hackathon, bookstore, co-working space, sensorium, international design week, flower show, outdoor ads, startup roadshow, computer museum, startup T-shirts, business cards, art therapy, startup festival, Diwali rangoli, Vesak, jazz festival, modern art gallery, ecopreneurs, painter-poets, health activists, eNGOs and digital innovators.
Innofest, an iSpirt initiative, is a movement to help grassroots innovators convert their concepts into scalable, sustainable enterprises. Build, create, connect, improvise and explore – these are key themes of this annual platform. Innovation has to be discussed and debated – as well as seen, touched and experienced, and this spirit of grassroots entrepreneurship was on full display in the Makers Pavilion (see my 2015 photo essay here).
3D printers, laser cutters, digital stethoscopes, portable bio-sensors, programmable electronic kits, electric bikes, laser-cut jewels, digitised fruits, low cost water prosthetics and water purifiers were on display at the showcase arena at the Lalit Ashok Hotel. We congratulate the innovative teams from Team Indus, Kar Connect, Stratasys, Workbench Projects, SunRay, Avench, Srishti School of Design, IKP Eden, Realment Labs, Novatech, BiBox, QTPi, Emflux, Rolling Cube, MiQasa, InnoMinds, GreenOcean, Zentron, ABLE, Fracktal, PopUp Housing, Zilico, GreenDzine, and other participating firms, and look forward to InnoFest 2017 already!
