With your new business venture all set to launch, you're sure to have done your market research and have strong investors backing your project. But do you have a team you can boast about? According to Bernd Schoner, author of The Tech Entrepreneur's Survival Guide, “Having the right team determines the path and outcome of a new venture more than any decision in the lifecycle of a company.” Your foundation team needs to have the right balance of personalities to help your budding company achieve the success you've envisioned for it. We've compiled a list of the different kinds of people you need to hire for your startup.

The leader

Every startup needs to have an effective leader who shares the vision of the CEO and helps put that vision to action with the help of the other team members. This individual has to be someone that the other employees look up to and are willing to follow. In case there arises a conflict or a critical decision needs to be made in the absence of the founder, the leader must be able to guide the team in the right direction.

The creator

Every startup, no matter how mundane the field of work may be, needs an employee who can come up with whacky ideas. This individual is going to be the sparkplug behind product inception. The main focus of his job should involve thinking creatively and seeing his ideas reach fruition.

The go-getter

This individual gets down to business and motivates everyone to complete the day's tasks well in time. From ordering office supplies to making sure the internet is up and running, this employee is the combination of nerdy and eccentric. A go-getter is filled with passion for the work he does and will often challenge the rest of the team to get things done. Every startup needs a go-getter to achieve the goals it has set for itself.

The industry insider

Startups are all about innovative ideas but it always helps to have someone around who knows the secrets of the trade and how things function within the industry. From understanding the subtleties of the competitive landscape to recognising people as true assets, the industry veteran has seen it all. Owing to his years of experience, he will be the highest paid member of the team.

The finance wizard

Startups need financial talent to make sure the company is making profits and to maintain a healthy cash flow. This employee will also handle the mundane job of book keeping which will help you to understand where you can cut down expenses and how you can make more profit in the long run.

While hiring for a startup, keep your expectations high and continue looking till you don't find the right talent. However, hoping to bring on board the ‘perfect team’ will not only keep your search on forever, but it will also stagnate your business.
