New entry-level smartphones from Panasonic, Zen Mobiles, Vivo and others to hit market soon
In the past few days, several smartphone makers announced the launch of new devices with enhanced features.
On Thursday, domestic smartphone manufacturer Zen Mobiles launched a new affordable smartphone 'Admire Unity' for Rs 5,099. The device comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display and sports 5MP rear camera with flash and 2MP front camera.
"With the launch of 'Admire Unity', we want to unite the masses in the technological revolution by breaking the language barrier for our consumers so that they can interact, engage, entertain, and connect in their preferred language," Deepesh Gupta, CEO, Zen Mobiles, said in a statement.
The device comes with applications such as Amazon Prime Videos, Vistoso, Go2Pay, Chillx, and Zen Store. With multiple regional languages support, the smartphone will be available from Friday.
Expanding its Eluga series, Panasonic India Smartphones on Thursday unveiled 'Eluga I5' smartphone at Rs 6,499.
The smartphone comes with Arbo — the company's in-house virtual assistant. Pankaj Rana, Business Head-Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said in a statement,
"The Eluga series bespeaks reliability and the latest Eluga I5 is another perfect blend of innovation and elegance. It ensures top-notch performance at a value-based price."
The device runs an Android 7.0 Nougat operating system (OS) and is powered by quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB.
The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD IPS display topped with Asahi "Dragontrail" glass. There is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front camera and a 2,500mAh battery to power the device.
The handset will retail on Flipkart in gold and black colours.
China-based Transsion Holdings is set to unveil Infinix 'Zero 5' that will join the race of devices with edge-to-edge display and dual-camera system. The smartphone is expected to be priced below Rs 20,000 and will hit the global market by the end of November, industry sources told IANS on Thursday.
Infinix 'Zero 5' would feature 6GB RAM and an expandable internal storage of 128GB. The device is also expected to be introduced with camera specifications that are available in flagship mid-segment smartphones. The device is expected to sport a telephoto lens and wide-angle lens set up at the rear.
Transsion Holdings in August launched Infinix Note 4 and Hot 4 Pro smartphones in India in the budget segment.
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo on Thursday introduced V7+ — its selfie-focused flagship smartphone with 24MP front shooter — in energetic blue colour in India. Kenny Zeng, Chief Marketing Officer, Vivo India, said in a statement,
"We are excited to bring our V7+ flagship in another stylish 'energetic blue' colour variant."
Prospective buyers can pre-book the device, starting November 10 on Amazon.in. Priced at Rs 21,990, V7+ was launched in champagne gold and matte black coloured variants in September.
Vivo V7+ is the first phone from the company with an 18:9 aspect ratio with 'Full View' display. A high point of the device is 24MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and flash. The phone sports a 5.99-inch IPS display (1440x720 pixels) in a unibody metal body.
There is 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256 GB via a dedicated memory card slot. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset.
