NASSCOM and China’s Dalian Government launches a platform to promote IoT and AI
India’s National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Dalian Municipal People’s Government on Wednesday signed a joint investment to co-develop a collaborative technology platform, the Sino-Indian Digital Collaboration Plaza (SIDCOP).
Powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT), the co-created platform will operate in both online and offline modes, to enable matchmaking between the two ecosystems to leverage each other’s strengths in technology.
Gagan Sabharwal, Senior Director - NASSCOM, who signed the MoU, said,
In this digital era of convergence, hardware and software lines are merging because consumers today demand solutions that are IoT ready. This cooperative partnership that we have formed with the Government of Dalian will help us create a platform where companies from India and China can come forward to co-develop for global markets by leveraging their respective strengths in hardware and software.
Adding to this, he said, “The arrangement that we have carved out with Dalian Biodiverse Emerging Science Technology (BEST) city will serve as a launchpad for the Indian companies to partner with Chinese enterprises and gain access to the ever-growing Chinese market. We are committed to creating an ecosystem here with the help of the Government of Dalian that will make the Chinese market an attractive proposition for Indian companies and this joint initiative is a step in that direction.”
Zeta-V Technology Solutions Ltd, a startup with a local presence in Dalian, will be deployed as the operator of the SIDCOP platform. A digital orchestration company Zeta-V, will harness the power of an intelligent ecosystem to minimise the gap between idea-generation and value-realisation. Automating the requirement to realisation (R2R) process, the AI-driven platform will minimise the RFP process at the customer-end by a significant margin. The SIDCOP platform’s services will also include a B2B intelligent marketplace, rule based e-procurement, and shared services command centre.
Dalian BEST City Administrative Committee said, “We, at Dalian BEST City, are delighted to reach this understanding with India’s NASSCOM for developing the NASSCOM IT Corridor. We strongly believe this is the innovative step in enhancing and mutually benefiting Chinese and Indian companies in software and services sector. The SIDCOP platform developed by Zeta-V is an extremely innovative use of digital technologies and shall pave the way for greater and wider cooperation amongst our countries.”
Earlier this year, an MoU was signed between NASSCOM and the Dalian government to promote IoT collaboration between Chinese and Indian IT companies. Pursuant to this, subsequent discussions at a local level converged upon the idea of setting up the first NASSCOM IT corridor within Dalian BEST City to promote IoT and AI cooperation between the two nations.
The dedicated IT park will be an exclusive place for interested Indian IT providers of all sizes to begin operations and avail special policy benefits and incentives provided by Dalian BEST City administration. NASSCOM and the Government of Dalian both agreed to set up the collaborative platform that could work in online and offline mode to help establish partnerships for Indian and Chinese companies.
“This is an extremely proud and heartening moment for Zeta-V in being chosen as the principal enabler of this pioneering initiative from NASSCOM and Dalian BEST City. We are delighted to play a key role in building this ecosystem of NASSCOM members and Chinese companies to help furthering the Sino-Indian collaboration in the new age technology space. We are confident that SIDCOP, our AI-powered intelligent collaboration platform, complimented with offline ground support shall ensure a seamless and efficient experience for Chinese and Indian companies in synergistic and mutual growth,” said Sujit Chatterjee, Co-Founder & Director at Zeta-V Technology Solutions.
