Meet Mohit who topped the CA final examination, says it's all because of hard work
Mohit Gupta emerged as the first rank holder in the recently announced CA final examination results by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The result was announced on January 17, 2018, for the CA Final examination held in November last year.
Hailing from Karnal district in Haryana, Mohit scored 73.38 percent with 587 marks out of 800 to achieve the first All India Rank (AIR). The second and third rank was bagged by two residents of Delhi — Prashant and Aditya Mittal — with 71.38 percent and 70.62 percent, respectively.
According to The Financial Express, ICAI President Nilesh S. Vikamsey said,
I congratulate all rank-holders and successful candidates for their hard work and results. However, I would like to convey to all candidates who could not qualify despite their hard work, to plan and study efficiently and work harder, which will eventually help them in achieving success.
There were 15.91 percent candidates who cleared the ‘Group I’ examination out of the 39,328 candidates who appeared for it. Also, 15.11 percent candidates cleared the ‘Group II’ examination out of the 39,753 aspiring candidates. There were 22.76 percent candidates who passed the examination on an overall basis.
Mohit is currently employed in a company in Gurugram, and is extremely happy and excited about the result. While speaking with the Hindustan Times, he said,
My hard work shows results with this news. I have been pursuing my BCom followed by two years of MCom in Delhi, while studying for CA.
Mohit wishes to got to Karnal to visit his parents, and celebrate this huge success. He has expressed his wish to continue working somewhere in Gurugram itself.
