At first-of-its-kind conference to showcase SMB entrepreneurship in Tamil Nadu, hear the stories of eminent business leaders in the state
It’s easy to see why Tamil Nadu has emerged as one of the most preferred destinations for business investments in the country. The 4th largest Indian state in terms of size and the 2nd largest in terms of gross state domestic product (GSDP) the state also houses the maximum number of industrial clusters in the country.
In the last few decades, a number of inspirational entrepreneurial success stories have been written here, especially in the IT and ITES space. From Freshdesk to Indix to Zoho, the list is as diverse as it is long.
At YourStory, we have been pioneers when it comes to definitive tech and entrepreneurial conferences. Continuing in this tradition, we are now kicking off the first of its kind SMB-focused conference, and in this first edition we would like to celebrate entrepreneurship in Tamil Nadu. We aim to bring eminent business leaders, ecosystem influencers, investors and government representatives onto a single platform to deliberate on ‘How can TN evolve as a true leader in the SME and SAAS Startup Ecosystem?’
At this first-of-its-kind event, you will get to hear from entrepreneurial superstars from Tamil Nadu their perspective on what it takes for businesses to succeed in the SMB space in the state. These include eminent names such as Murugavel Janakiraman, Founder-Bharat Matrimony, Dr A Velumani, Founder, Chairman and MD -Thyrocare, CK. Kumaravel, Founder and CEO - Naturals Salons, Malayappan Murali, MD - Shriram Properties, and Kuppulakshmi Krishnamoorthy, Brand evangelist - Zoho.
The session will kick off with an insightful address from YourStory founder and CEO Shradha Sharma, who will talk about the ‘Secrets of a Successful Ecosystem’. This will be followed by a fireside chat between Murugavel Janakiraman, Founder-Bharat Matrimony and Dr. A Velumani, Founder, Chairman and MD -Thyrocare moderated by Shradha Sharma, Founder and CEO, YourStory. Next on the agenda is a panel discussion on ‘How can TN evolve as an ecosystem’. The panelists will include Kuppulakshmi Krishnamoorthy, Brand evangelist - Zoho and CK. Kumaravel, Founder and CEO - Naturals Salons. A session on SMB Branding will precede the much-awaited YourStory Express initiative. As part of this, 10 entrepreneurs will be invited on stage to present a three-minute pitch about their business.
