At International Blockchain Congress, join experts and leaders to discover how India can become a global blockchain hub

Mention Blockchain in the current climate and it is likely that the first thing to come to mind would be recent controversies around cryptocurrencies.

That said, today Blockchain’s uses extend way beyond just cryptocurrencies. Globally, public sector enterprises and governments are exploring how the technology can be leveraged to improve the efficiency of their services, bring about better management of contracts, enable smoother financial transactions and improve overall transparency.

NITI Aayog, in collaboration with Nucleus Vision and the state governments of Telangana and Goa, is hosting India’s first-ever International Blockchain Congress with the aim of bringing together renowned speakers and thought leaders to deliberate on how we can make India the next blockchain capital of the world.

The inaugural edition of the International Blockchain Congress in India will be held on August 3 and 4, 2018 Hyderabad, a thriving tech hub and one of the fastest growing markets for blockchain technology.

India as a blockchain hub

The IBC will be the largest congregation of innovators, businesses, technologists, regulators, startups and enthusiasts to pave the way for an open and transparent blockchain powered world. The IBC will provide a platform for several eminent corporate and government leaders, regulators, industry experts, and innovators to come together and indulge in thought-provoking conversations on how blockchain can be used -- in enterprise next-generation financial services, and in governance. The event will also have global crypto based-exchange firms coming together to discuss the advantages and adoption methods of blockchain and cryptocurrencies with regulatory personnel for governance.

The conference will have a number of eminent international speakers and guests including Tim Draper, Founder of DFJ Ventures, Amitabh Kant, CEO Niti Aayog, KT Rama Rao, IT Minister, Telangana, Rohan Khaunte, IT Minister, Goa, CP Gurnani, CEO Tech Mahindra, Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education, Min Kim, CEO of ICON Foundation and Arun Seth, Chairman, NASSCOM Foundation, among others.

There are several exciting sessions in store across the two-day-long event . Following the inauguration, Amitabh Kant will deliver a keynote address on India - A Growing Blockchain Hub; KT Rama Rao will talk about Telangana - Epicentre of Indian Blockchain Revolution and Rohan Khaunte will talk about Goa as a Destination for Businesses. This will be followed by other speaker sessions, panel discussions and workshops being held in parallel tracks.
