Kunal Shah's Cred announces early access programme; actor Alia Bhatt's latest role: first-ever Uber Eats brand ambassador

Earlier this month, Kunal Shah tweeted that his next venture, 'Cred', would celebrate and reward the most creditworthy people of India. The founder of Freecharge, which was acquired by Snapdeal in 2015 for $400 million in the then largest internet deal, is backafter three years 'on the sidelines'. Now, Ashray Iyengar, one of Cred’s team members, announced on LinkedIn that the platform's early access programme was open for business.

BookMyShow grabs a seat at Grab Ventures Velocity programme

Mumbai-based entertainment startup, BookMyShow announced that it has joined the Grab Ventures Velocity programme to scales its business in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The startup is the only entertainment platform to be a part of the 16-week programme that helps companies scale by providing access to resources, capabilities and networks belonging to Grab and its other programme partners.

InstaReM gets $20M of its $45M Series C funding

Singapore-based cross-border payments company, InstaReM announced that it closed more than $20 million (Rs 143.15 crore) as a part of its ongoing Series C round (a total of $45 million). The development comes at a time when the company is gearing up to go public and file for an IPO in 2021.

Alia Bhatt's new role: Uber Eats' first-ever brand ambassador

Uber Eats announced that Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has been appointed as its first-ever brand ambassador. This makes India the first Uber Eats' market to have a brand ambassador. This partnership will lay the foundation for a host of brand-interventions in the following year.

LinkedIn announced the launch of LinkedIn Salary in India, a resource that can help create salary transparency in the jobs market. With this tool, users will be able to gather insights on bonus and equity data for specific job titles, compensation structures along with the factors that impact pay such experience, industry, company size, location and education level. While free members can access LinkedIn Salary by providing their own salary data, premium members will get direct access to LinkedIn Salary without providing any salary information.
