Focus on the present, creativity and innovation will follow: Stephen Shapiro
In an age defined by change, the only way to grow, survive and thrive is through innovation. And when it comes to innovation and creativity, multi-talented Stephen Shapiro has some invaluable advices. He doesn’t believe in focussing on the outcome or the goal, rather in the process.
Shapiro is an innovation evangelist, author and advisor. After a 15-year tenure with Accenture, today he is a keynote speaker, motivating people towards innovation. Shapiro has also penned five books – the most notable one being the Best Practices Are Stupid: 40 Ways to Out-Innovate the Competition.
He says, the more one concentrates on a particular milestone, the chances of achieving it become less likely. Instead his suggestion is to focus on the present.
