YourStory launches Brands of India Awards to celebrate Made in India companies, applications open

YourStory, in association with the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), launches Brands of India Awards, a nationwide campaign to recognise and promote MSMEs and breakthrough companies that are making in India.

The Brands of India campaign will unlock opportunities for Indian brands to showcase their potential and help them in their quest to go global.

Building on the government’s initiative to encourage ‘Make in India’ products, the Brands of India will put the spotlight on companies that are doing India proud with their quality products. These are home-grown brands that have transformed themselves through business and technology innovations and are poised to become billion dollar companies.

With India’s recent 23-place jump on World Bank’s ‘Ease of Doing Business’ ranking taking it from 142 to 77 position, all eyes are now on the Indian brands to take the lead. It is time for these Made in India companies to build for the world.

Besides an award ceremony celebrating the brands of India, this flagship event, to be held on February 25 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, will be attended by Minister for MSME Giriraj Singh and other Cabinet ministers.

There will be an interesting lineup of industry experts, MSMEs, government representatives, and various stakeholders deliberate upon the challenges and issues of the sector.
