SatLeo Labs raises $2.2M in seed round led by Unicorn India Ventures
Spacetech startup SatLeo Labs has raised $2.2 million in a seed round led by Unicorn India Ventures.
The round also saw participation from existing investors Merak Ventures, Java Capital, IIMA-CIIE, and deeptech investor Manish Gandhi.
SatLeo plans to use the funds to advance its flagship thermal satellite mission and the development of its AI-powered platform for thermal intelligence applications.
The company, in the next 12 months, plans to focus on advancing its space-based thermal intelligence capabilities through satellite launch readiness, commercial expansion, and technology scaling.
ILIOS 72 Alternative Capital raises pre-Series A round
Wealth management and private equity platform ILIOS 72 Alternative Capital has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-Series A round. With this fundraise, the company’s valuation has risen to about $2 million, said the company.
The round saw participation from a number of family offices based out of Jaipur and Mumbai.
According to the firm, the milestone comes amid significant scale-up in the company with its assets under management crossing Rs 200 crore.
The company will now focus on geographic expansion beyond metros. It plans to strengthen its presence in Jaipur and Kanpur. It will also actively target high-potential Tier II markets. It will also continue to invest in strengthening its platform capabilities and research depth.
F&B intelligence platform Vacati raises Rs 10 lakh in angel funding
AI-driven food and beverage intelligence platform Vacati has raised Rs 10 lakh in angel funding.
The company plans to use the capital to develop domain-specific large language models tailored for hospitality, food, and beverage applications along with the deployment of its consumer-facing application. A portion of the capital will also be used to train its domain-specific large language model.

Aakash partners with Indo-Tibetan Border Police for education support
Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indo-Tibetan Border Police to provide scholarships and academic support to personnel and their families.
The five-year initiative will offer structured coaching, financial aid, and talent-based exams such as ANTHE to improve access to competitive exam preparation.
The programme covers serving and retired personnel, gallantry awardees, disabled members, and families of martyrs, with fee waivers of up to 100% in select cases. It also includes mentoring and career counselling support.
The move builds on AESL’s earlier partnerships with other defence forces, which aim to reduce financial barriers and expand educational opportunities nationwide.
Veranda Learning launches scholarship initiative for CA aspirants
Veranda Learning has launched the Veranda Learning Scholarship Kind Circle, a community-driven initiative aimed at supporting chartered accountancy aspirants enrolled at J.K. Shah Classes.
Powered by Buddy4Study, the programme offers merit-cum-means scholarships covering coaching fees, exam and registration costs, study materials, and related academic expenses. It will initially focus on students pursuing CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final levels.
The initiative also enables Veranda’s wider ecosystem, including employees, partners, alumni, and well-wishers, to contribute funds, nominate students, and mentor scholars.
The company said the system is transparent and features real-time tracking of donations and fund disbursement, ensuring support reaches verified beneficiaries directly. Beyond financial aid, the programme also aims to foster mentorship and long-term career guidance. There are plans to expand support to other professional courses in the future.
