Pixxel raises $100M Series C to expand satellite capabilities
Spacetech startup Pixxel raised $100 million in a Series C led by Temasek and Seraphim, taking total funding to $195 million. The company said it will expand its Honeybee constellation and high resolution optical satellites, build the Aurora software platform and scale production through its Gigapixxel facility.
Nua raises $50M Series C led by Peak XV, Filter Capital
Women’s wellness brand Nua raised $50 million in a Series C led by Peak XV and Filter Capital, with participation from Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures. The round includes primary and secondaries, and Nua said it will invest in brand building, distribution expansion and R&D.
Paytm's Vijay Shekhar Sharma sees AI agents replacing apps
Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma predicted that autonomous AI agents will replace smartphone apps by 2027. In a post on X, he said OS level access will let personal agents execute multi step tasks and forecast 2026 would cement machines’ lead in code generation.

Navana.ai raises Rs 40 Cr led by Ronnie Screwvala
Navana.ai, a sovereign voice AI company serving regulated enterprises, has raised Rs 40 crore in a Series A funding round led by entrepreneur and investor Ronnie Screwvala. The round also saw participation from Sharad Sanghi, Antler India, Sandeep Singhal and Paula Mariwala.
The Bengaluru-based company will use the fresh capital to scale its deployments across the BFSI sector, expand its speech models for Indian languages and dialects, and accelerate product development for its AI Contact Centre and automated evaluation platform.
Lickicious raises Rs 19 Cr for capacity expansion
Pet food brand Lickicious has raised Rs 19 crore in growth capital through a mix of equity and institutional debt as it looks to scale its business and achieve Rs 100 crore in annual revenue.
The funding round was led by Prath Ventures, with participation from the founders of Atomberg and several industry executives. The company said it will use the capital to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen research and development, and broaden its product portfolio.

Swiggy launches helpline to address food safety concerns
Swiggy has launched a 24x7 helpline and a dedicated ‘Food Safety’ section in its app to allow customers to report food safety concerns related to their orders.
The in-app option allows users to provide details and upload photographs. Customers who report concerns through the helpline will receive a link on their registered mobile number to submit additional information and images.
Swiggy said complaints submitted through either channel will be reviewed by its Food Safety Assurance Team, which will take further action based on the issue.
Cyrix Healthcare to acquire Blue Star E&E MedTech Solutions
Kochi-based healthcare technology company Cyrix Healthcare, backed by private equity firm Somerset Indus Capital Partners Fund III, has acquired the MedTech Solutions business of Blue Star Engineering & Electronics (Blue Star E&E). The acquisition will expand Cyrix’s medical imaging capabilities, particularly in CT and MRI, as well as its services across equipment sales, installation, maintenance, repairs and refurbishment. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Cyrix, founded in 2004, provides medical technology services to hospitals, diagnostic centres and other healthcare institutions. It has more than 1,200 biomedical engineers and serves over 25,000 healthcare facilities across India, the Middle East and Africa.
NIIF appoints Gauravjit Singh as managing partner, capital formation
National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Ltd (NIIF) has appointed Gauravjit Singh as managing partner and global head of capital formation. Singh has around two decades of experience in institutional fundraising across global, India-focused and pan-Asian alternative investment strategies. Before joining NIIF, he led investor relations and fundraising for PAG’s private equity business in Singapore.
At NIIF, Singh will oversee capital formation across its investment strategies, including investor relations and efforts to expand its domestic and international institutional investor base and raise additional capital.
Tazapay opens Bengaluru centre of excellence in India
TGlobal payments infrastructure company Tazapay has opened a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru as part of its expansion in India. The facility will serve as a technology and product development hub for the company. Located in Koramangala, the 11,000 sq ft centre currently has 60 employees.
Tazapay plans to expand the team to more than 150 employees over the next 18 months, with hiring across engineering, product and treasury operations. The teams will work on areas including transaction routing, compliance and licensing, funding and settlement, and reconciliation for cross-border payments across fiat and stablecoin networks. Tazapay is also developing capabilities for agentic payments, while retaining human oversight for AI-led processes.
Electromech enters semiconductor infrastructure with mission-critical engineering capabilities
Electromech Infraprojects has entered India’s semiconductor infrastructure sector, expanding its engineering and project delivery capabilities to support fabrication, OSAT, ATMP and allied electronics facilities. The company said it will bring integrated MEP engineering, critical power, precision HVAC, utilities, project management, testing and commissioning to address specialised infrastructure requirements for semiconductor production.
Electromech said it has delivered more than 600 projects across industrial, manufacturing, logistics, commercial and mission critical environments, contributing to over 350 MW of IT load. Its manufacturing footprint exceeds 2 lakh sq ft across Mumbai and Hyderabad, supported by BIM led coordination and modularisation. The company said the semiconductor sector will require further specialised capabilities as India builds out a domestic ecosystem.
