Hyundai rolls out sportier Venue N Line at Rs 12.16 lakh
This is Hyundai’s second N-Line model to be launched in India after the South Korean auto giant launched i20 N Line last year.
After the recent launch of the Sonet X Line from Kia, its sister brand–Hyundai–has launched a similar model. The South Korean auto giant has launched a sportier derivative of Venue with the N Line suffix. Similar to the Sonet X Line, Venue N Line receives interior and exterior cosmetic upgrades over the standard model.
Venue N Line, available in two variants– N6 and N8, is priced at Rs 12.16 lakh and Rs 13.15 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
The company started accepting bookings for the sportier iteration of the subcompact SUV last month and interested buyers can book the same at a token amount of Rs 21,000 via Hyundai’s Signature outlets or the company website.
Updated exterior styling
Venue N Line features plenty of cosmetic tweaks over the regular model, although the overall design remains the same as the facelifted Venue, launched earlier in June this year. Starting with its exterior, it gets the same radiator grille embellished with dark chrome elements as the standard model.
Front and rear bumpers are reprofiled and house larger skid plates on both ends. Red accents are added on the lower lips of front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wheel arches and roof rails to enhance the sporty appeal. The car rolls on 16-inch dual-tone, diamond-cut alloy wheels that come with N-branded wheel caps.
Red-coloured brake callipers add to the visual appeal of the subcompact SUV. The dual-tip exhaust at the rear produces a symphony that matches its sporty nature. Venue N Line also gets a larger and redesigned spoiler that further amplifies its look. Distinctive N Line badgings are seen on the front fender and tailgate.
Updated interior styling
The interior layout of Venue N Line is identical to the standard model but gets an all-black cabin treatment. Sprucing up the interiors are red accents with contrast stitching on seat upholstery, door trims, and steering wheel. The new flat-bottom steering wheel brandishes an N logo at the centre.
In terms of features, the N8 trim of Venue N Line is based on the top-spec variant of the standard model and, hence, loaded with all bells and whistles. Some of the notable features on offer include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, Bluelink connected car tech, a 4-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, ambient lighting, a Bose audio system and much more.
Venue N Line also benefits from a new dashcam with a dual camera. Safety is handled by 30 features on board, including six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, vehicle stability management system and a rear parking camera to name a few.
Mechanical specs
Powering Venue N Line is the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder GDi turbo petrol engine, offered in the regular Venue and capable of dishing out 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
Hyundai claims the suspension setup in Venue N Line has been stiffened to improve the handling and dynamics of the car. Customers get to choose from two monotone and three dual-tone colour options. Polar White and Shadow Grey are available in single and dual-tone options, while Thunder Blue is only offered in a dual-tone form.
