Astrogate Labs is enabling high-speed communications for small-satellites with our laser communication solutions designed to meet the harsh conditions for space applications. Their mature technology and laser-comm. products in a SWaP (size, weight and power) compatible for cube/nanosats allows for a secure, long-distance wireless communications in space-to-ground and space-to-space links. The smallsat optical terminal developed by Astrogate Labs can provide 150 mbps link speeds with its small-aperture optical ground terminal and up to one gbps with an observatory grade telescope coupled with Astrogate’s optical modem. Smallsat operators can integrate Astrogate’s optical terminal as a COTS unit and subscribe to a ground communication plan for a full turn-key solution. In June 2019, the startup raised an undisclosed amount of funding in a pre-Series A round from VC firm Speciale Invest.
